A variety of diversity fellowships exist for students coming from historically underrepresented backgrounds in the financial services industry. These provide workshops, mentorship guidance, networking events, and exclusive opportunities to students seeking a foot into white collar work.

Along with the following programs listed, many financial institutions have their own select programs; however, these change on a year-by-year basis and it is best to simply look up “finance diversity programs” on your preferred search engine to find the most updated list.

SEO Career is a program for recruiting and training high-achieving undergraduates for summer internships that can lead to coveted, full-time jobs.

Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT)

MLT Career Prep is a rigorous, 20-month career development program for emerging Black, Hispanic/Latinx and Native American/Indigenous student leaders. Through the program, Fellows explore their strengths, passions, and interests in order to prepare and plan for successful careers in business and tech.

BLK Capital Management is a 100% black owned and student-run long/short equity hedge fund that focuses on educating members by exposing them to the field of active investment management.

HeadStart

The HeadStart Fellowship is a mentorship program designed to give high achieving college students a head start on their professional and personal development. The program provides students exposure to professional opportunities and guidance within the technology, finance & consulting fields.
